About Ranch House Meat Co
In 2007, the Flowers Family purchased Project Meats, the mother to this new little store, with the hopes of taking on a terrific adventure. Shane Flowers has been involved with livestock his entire life and loved the challenge of raising terrific meat. With this energy and Tanya Flowers retail vision we have expanded our business to serve two locations. 

We became State Inspected in 2009 allowing us to sell whole, halves, or quarters of beef, hogs, and lambs. Plus it gave us the option to support local ranchers, present quality products, and keeps our local economy thriving. Our innovations have allowed us to create an all-around store for local meats and value added products. Creation of new products has been a great way to involve our customers, our friends, and most importantly our family.  

Putting ourselves out into the public has given us an advantage over our competitors. This allows the customer to put a name with a face and the opportunity to get locally raised quality meats over your average grocery store. Innovation and success is where we base our business. Bringing quality, fresh cut, homemade, small town feel back to the big town is our goal.

In 2010  we started a re-branding campaign from Project Meats to Ranch House.   2013 we became State Inspected on our Smoke House allowing us to sell any of our smoked products wholesale. With our sausage production being in full force at our Shepherd location we go by the Ranch House Sausage Co name on all our packaging.  

Possibly the easiest way to measure our success on the product level is the awards we have received from our local and national meat contests. We have several from our Montana Meat Processors Competition, which one of our proudest awards is our jerky with three consecutive years of Grand Champion along with our newest award from the American Cured Meats Competition in Milwaukee with our Champion Specialty Whole Muscle product which was our homemade Corned Beef. That was a very large competition with over 800 total entries.  

As a family, we all feel pride and accomplishment in our small business and hope that every business owner has that same desire to succeed as all of us at Ranch House does.
